In the past two months, the Northflank team has added self-hosted Git integrations, managed object storage, a network policies UI, short-lived workload tokens, automatic addon disk resizing, cron-scheduled workflows, and a rebuilt, environment-first project dashboard, alongside a faster metrics stack and a long list of fixes.

Custom addons from Git (BYOA): Deploy custom addon types directly from a Git repository with commit-based versioning.
Managed object storage: Provision managed, S3-compatible object storage buckets on Northflank, with automatic domain allocation. This capability is an off-ramp from Minio addons on PaaS.
GCP external addons: Link external GCP managed services (Cloud SQL, Memorystore) as addons.
External addon workload-identity linking: Automatically inject identities to authenticate workloads against external addons.
Automatic addon disk resizing: Added the option for addon volumes to automatically resize when they approach capacity taking into account a user defined optional max size.
Addon version management: Template-level warnings when addons use deprecated versions, new MongoDB and Redis versions, and Postgres storage-class migration support.
Global secret version history: Adds a version history view to global secrets to allow viewing historical configurations.
Addon pod role labels: Instance lists now shows information for addon pods indicating if it is a pooler or DB replica.
Network policies UI: Create, view, and manage network policies, allow/deny rules for ingress and egress, directly from the dashboard.
Security policy AND/OR logic: Choose AND or OR matching on port-level security policy rules.
Subdomain improvements: Reorganized subdomain settings for bridge TLS mode and certificate management, and the target CNAME record is now shown at the subdomain level for easier DNS verification.
Multi-project networking: Improvements to multi-project networking in project settings.
Secret file permissions & ownership: Set Unix ownership (user/group) and mode on mounted secret files, with an inline tooltip explaining octal permissions.
View org & team role specs: Inspect the raw RBAC specification for organization and team roles for easy use with API endpoints.
Workload identity improvements: Create workload identities without all provider permissions upfront (validated at creation time), an improved role-mode selector, access from the job context, and workload-identity/external-addon nodes in release-flow templates.
OTP recovery codes: Accessibility and UX fixes for the recovery-code toggle
Audit log fixes: Parent events now load correctly in organization-scoped audit logs, and the preview controller now emits audit events when deleting previews based on expiry times.

Pause blueprint triggers: Temporarily pause individual preview blueprint triggers to disable runs in specific circumstances.
Cross-namespace volume cloning: Clone volumes across namespaces and projects, with progress tracking and safety validations.
Service expiry: Set an expiry time on a service to automatically pause and schedule it for deletion.
Buildpack overrides on deployment services: Configure Docker/buildpack overrides at deploy time when no build service is linked.
Improved service & job creation forms: Reorganized forms with collapsible advanced sections and better field grouping.
Multi-line command override: Command overrides now support multi-line input with proper wrapping.
Environment-first project dashboard: The project dashboard has been rebuilt around an environments view, with name validation, less content flicker, a better responsive layout, and improved empty/welcome states.
Environment variables: Sort variables by column, save changes in update-only mode without submitting the rest of the form, and no more premature submissions.
Project table filtering: Exact-match filtering on region and alphabetically sorted filter options.
Metrics overhaul: Reworked metrics loading for deployments, addons, and job runs, with large performance gains when rendering many series and automatic capping of tiny series in compact views.
GPU charts in the all-deployments view: GPU metrics are no longer limited to the single-deployment view.
Observe page: Terminate or retry a job run directly from Observe, filter logs across multiple selected instances, view pod-specific metadata, and use an improved shell tab (copy/paste, Ctrl+L, resize handling).
Volume metrics fixes: Corrected sparkline rendering and fixed fresh-service volumes that showed zero usage.
Plus many smaller fixes and refinements: repository selector refreshing correctly when linking a new VCS account, long commit messages and preview titles truncating cleanly, resource lists no longer flashing an empty state, rate-limit fixes across the domains/backups/services lists, clipboard copy as plain text, shell paste handling, and a range of crash and type-error fixes across the dashboard.
